So what do the Northern Lights of Norway and God’s Garments of the Heart have to do with each other? The scientific phenomenon that produces this glorious sight is a perfect set of circumstances coming together that includes a certain season of time it can be seen, the electrically charged particles from the sun entering the earth’s atmosphere above the magnetic poles creating colorful dancing light that can even create sounds similar to crackles or bangs. It is just one of the vivid intersections our Divine Creator orchestrates between heaven and earth of His magnificence and beauty some of which can be explained scientifically and some of which is mysterious. Many have likened the white folds of light of the Aurora Borealis in Finland to Christ’s Hem of His Garment.
The photo image used in this blog was taken in Norway at a resort observatory specifically for guests to stay in glass globes sprinkled throughout the area in hope of being able to view this great masterpiece. Conditions must be right to observe such a sight as this photo much like the Condition of our Hearts must be right in order to hear the Holy within, see the face of Jesus in all our human acquaintances, and be able to forgive the greatest sin hurled upon us; whatever that looks like for you, personally.
When Colossians 3:12-14 speaks of “clothe yourselves” it is not referring to the garments we wear externally, but rather, it speaks of what we are wearing internally in our hearts. If our garments within are dull with anger, addictions, prideful words and behavior, selfish attitudes, unforgiveness… our Light to others will also be dull and love is no where to be found.
We are created to Shine a Magnificent, Breathtaking, Bright Light and Beautiful Colors to all the earth and towards each other. What Do Your Inner Garments Look Like?
