Fresh Mindset

Are you always looking for something new, exciting, different, and searching for perfect green pastures elsewhere? Have you stopped long enough to take in even the tiniest beauty, longing, and lessons of where you are?

Take it from one who has tilled, tended, seeded, and mowed many green pastures. There is a lot of work to be done to maintain. And, it’s never perfect, but, yet, for me, satisfying. You will find you either enjoy the work, long for something else, or change your mindset so that you find beauty in the process.

Every place you live, you go, move to, or pine for will never give you what you are seeking if your mindset is not at peace. It is not about changing the situation or scenario.

It is about embracing the change within you and making peace with where you are in life.

Jesus was the only perfect human who walked the earth. He had no set home to run to, was always on the move teaching, saving, healing, and gained suffering to show for it in the end.

Jesus is the only one who can help you change your mindset. Holy Spirit will help you know when to stay, when to move, warn you, help you stay silent, and when to say what needs saying. All the while, you will begin to notice the changes within yourself. The situation may not change. The person may not change. You may never see those green pastures again, but you will gain a different and fresh mindset in the process.

Pray about it. Ask for discernment. Seek guidance from the Holy One. Study the Word. Your greener pastures are within.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

Biblical Mindset: Simply stated, renewing your mind according to Romans 12:2 means interpreting life through the lens of God’s Word and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, rather than through the lens of your experience, woundedness, trauma, worldly expectations, on a whim, what you want, or the opinions of others.
