The bridge of forgiveness is never quick and easy. It is miles of processing, healing, dispelling hurt, getting rid of anger, and finding clarity through the mindset of Jesus.
Any unforgiveness on your part makes cracks show up in your life that destroys. It leads to destruction, fear, and casts a shadow over you that follows you everywhere. It eventually leaves you dangling and broken. Picking up the pieces is a lot harder than the process towards forgiveness and healing.
Don’t wait until you are shattered. Be proactive. Do the work. Seek the process. Jesus is waiting. After all, he is the expert who willingly forgives all who believe. He died and then defeated death to rise up and save us to God.
Forgiveness defeats death. It is healing. It is necessary.
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32
Forgive, then don’t look back.
