Isn’t that the hard truth. Divine always has a different order than what I have in mind. Learning to be patient in the wait for His timing is a process. It takes trust and a diligent effort to stay in close conversation with Holy Spirit to get to that place of calm acceptance. The beauty of it, as I have learned the hard way, is that it is a true, peaceful calm within the depth of my soul even if the outcome is not what I wanted or expected.
Patience in the wait while trying to understand the Divine order surrounding any area of life is less than calming without completely engaging in and believing that God has your best interest at heart. Feeling a sense of calm is not made up of resignation or defeat. It is not giving up and giving in in exasperation or anger. It is a close-up sense of the nature and character of God in your life. You eventually realize that Divine order is better than yours, and no matter the outcome, you are OK with it all.
Are you there yet? What do you need to work on with God towards calm acceptance while patiently waiting for Divine order to be revealed?
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the one who carries out evil devices!Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. Psalm 37:5-9
