Dance in the Darkness

I am thankful that God reaches out to us in ways of encouragement in the most unexpected!

I was having a particularly rough day recently, and while driving home in the dark, I lamented over the day with weariness. Zooming down the country road, I was deep in thought, and it wasn’t joyful.

Then the Lord spoke in my spirit, saying, “You need to learn to dance in the dark.” I literally burst out laughing. My mood lightened up at this, and it broke through the barrier of weariness in my spirit.

That night, I had a dream vision that included the song Dancing in the Dark by Rhianna from the 2015 movie Home. The Lord spoke again, “You need to learn to dance in the darkness of the evils of the earthly world, so others will know me through the light you shine for me.”

Wow! I was blown away. I sing that song quite a lot now as a reminder that God will use many things, timeframes, places, people, songs, and quotes to get us to a better place within so we can light the way for others without.

Believe that God will turn your mourning into joyful dancing. Share your holy light for others today.

I am thankful for a God who does not give up on us and works to turn our weariness into dancing.
