Cup of Thanks

The memories of the Last Supper of Jesus stands the test of time. May it still resonate with us as we prepare to gather for Thanksgiving. Jesus knew what was coming yet he did not fret, wring his hands stressfully, pace, overthink, nor did he succumb to panic. Instead, he prayed to the Father then gathered with his disciples to relax, teach, and share a meal.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take it; this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it. Mark 14:22-23

Let us remember these life lessons from Jesus. He placed everything, even His Life, in God’s hands in trust. As we prepare to gather let us give thanks for His sacrifice. Jesus still fills our cup within sustaining goodness.
