The cool breeze in the early morning sunshine felt like autumn today. It was a welcome change. Things have a way of changing quickly, sometimes abruptly, and always with a little trepidation even when it’s welcome.
Storms are looming, but no matter the changes Jesus is always the same, stable, and reliable force that gets us through. We must stay close in His Word, in conversation and prayer, in spiritual signs, and wonders, and above all find joyful blessings amid the hard work. It’s a heart posture. How is your heart posture?
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16
The simplest of things can lead to joy, calm, renewal, and change. My mornings consist of coffee with my Heavenly Father as we talk, read scripture, pray together, blog, write, and watch for the sun to rise again one more time. It’s my daily simple joy that renews my soul and leads me on to the rest of the days testing. It restores my heart and I am blessed. Try it!
