“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.” Isaiah 43:2
This is exactly where it seems we are in today’s world – troubled waters? It is overwhelming the magnitude of lies, destruction, and deception that is coming to light. While it does seem like the waves of deceit are coming in fast and quick Jesus calmed the storm once and He can do it again, at the right time. Rather than looking at it like a doom and gloom lesson why not see it as a refreshing spray and dousing in sparkling waters. That requires us taking a long hard look at what’s going on in our lives personally, in this country, and in the world. Cleansing doesn’t just happen if one doesn’t even know it’s needed. Those who don’t get that drown in the sea of power hungry self importance. However, those who realize the cleansing waters for what they are accomplishing are renewed, healed, recognize they are forgiven, feel revitalized, and are able to rise above the trouble.
Where are you in this life of troubled waters? Are you riding the waves like a proud surfer enjoying the cleansing power of invigorating waters even though it gets rough and uncertain? Or, are you being sucked under the tumultuous waters by your own deceptions along with those you lend an ear to, with no lifeguard in sight? Don’t keep fooling yourself. Jump into the cleansing waters.
