As believers, we are assured freedom from a lifetime of suffering, abuse, pain, fear, or other things no one knows about. That freedom comes with a cost to Jesus. He willingly died to save us. The cost we pay is remaining steadfastly faithful to God’s ways, holiness in our daily living, the Word, in prayers, and among a community of believers. Many count that cost too high. It takes conviction, determination, commitment, courage, and bravery.Â
Are you up for defending your faith in a world gone the other way? Are you realizing our freedom in America is tied to the principles of God? Are you willing to stand firm in faith, morals, and bravery in the freedom we receive in eternal life?
The alternative is being a slave to money, temptations, corrupt leaders making bad decisions, or possessions that cost too much. Freedom is not free.
For freedom in Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1
Today, evaluate your life. Change what needs changing. Seek your freedom in Christ.
