Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit. The joy of Jesus is within by way of the Holy Spirit. That is a blessing by itself. The best part of the joy blessing is knowing you have immediate access to it at any time of day or night, especially during difficult times, when you are weary, ill, or struggling in sin.
Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10
Find the blessing of joy today. It may be a field of flowers, a bumble bee covered in pollen, a hug from your animal, or a breathtaking sunset. Every time you choose to seek the joy of God over the turmoil around you, the blessing shows up. Be watchful.
It is the midst of our daily lives, these little joys cross our paths, and if we are determined to see it, we are lifted up by the blessing of God. Seek your joy no matter how awful or tiring your day may be. It is a true and spirit filled gift of God. Enjoy your day!
