The Most important part of our task will be to tell everyone who will listen that Jesus is the only answer to the problems that are disturbing the hearts of humans and nations. We shall have the right to speak because we can tell from our experience that His light is more powerful than the deepest darkness…. How wonderful that the reality of His presence is greater than the reality of the hell about us.” ~ Betsie ten Boom

“The Lord remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free…..The Lord reigns for ever for all generations. Praise the Lord.” Psalm 146:6-10 excerpts (one of Betsie ten Booms’ go to Psalms)

  • Betsie ten Boom and her younger sister, Corrie, spent time in the notorious Ravensbrück Concentration Camp north of Berlin for hiding Jews in their home during the Nazi occupation of Holland.  They lived as devout Christians and even in their horrific time spent in the concentration camp, their faith was their lifeline. They used every opportunity to minister to others. For that time in the lives of those people Betsie and Corrie ten Boom were the hands and feet of Jesus to all that were with them unjustly by God’s Word, Prayer, and Testimony. Their shield of protection for themselves and others was like that of a mother protecting her child.
  • Betsie died in the Nazi concentration camp during World War II at the age of 59
  • Corrie made it out alive and went on to write books, speak, and minister testifying of her families life experiences and obedience to God’s work. She died in California in 1983
