The gaze of God captures our innermost essence. Holy eyes are always upon us seeking, protecting, loving, planning, and providing. When we remain focused on the way Jesus lived and interacted with others on earth we learn the ways of God. To give God our full attention is an act of faithfulness.
When we allow ourselves to be distracted by earths pull of things that provide no value to the beauty of life our gaze turns to a passing glance. We must guard our souls from allowing that to happen with determination and fervent effort to consistently gaze upon holiness.
In our faithfulness, we open our heart to deepening our relationship with Jesus. Greater meanings of life on earth pour forth from heaven as we devote our gaze to God.
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. Psalm 27:4
Gaze upon God with devotion and thanksgiving.
