Unconditional Love, Fairness, Forgiveness

No arguments, No judgement, No Trickery, No shaming, No violence….

At dawn when Jesus appeared in the temple courts, all the people gathered round Him and He began to teach them. The religious leaders (only men) saw an opportunity to trap Jesus in order to, hopefully, arrest Him by bringing a woman into the temple courts who had been caught in adultery. They made her stand in front of the group announcing their accusations and posed the question to Jesus of “what He would do” by quoting the Law of Moses to stone such women.

“Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with His finger. When they kept on questioning Him He stood up and and said, “If any of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again Jesus stooped down to write on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time until Jesus was left with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, ” Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you? No one, Sir,” she said. Then neither do I, Jesus declared. Go now and leave your life of sin.” John 8:2-11

We are all sinners in some form or fashion. In Holy, there is no condemnation. In that case, we all have an opportunity to not stone friends, family, acquaintances, strangers, or co-workers with hateful tirades, haughty glares, sneaky manipulation, and gossiping words. Follow Jesus’ lead and Be Nice!
