We know the narrow path of good, doing the right thing, following the Holy Way is hard, not for the faint of heart, and a struggle many times along life’s journey. Yet, if we look at our lives as a whole this far, no matter how young or old we are, the realization that those times when we are / were lost actually served to shape who we are today. Lessons learned in life, yes, even when we’ve lost our way, can be beautiful, deepen our faith, entreat us to help others when we see they are lost on their way.
Do not look at the days of becoming lost on your journey as failures. Those things and people were not really meant for you afterall even though you were willing to get lost to have them. Honor the beauty of the lessons found there then allow Holy to teach you about it.
Sometimes those lost paths were where we were meant to be all along. We just didn’t know it. We weren’t really lost; we were finding the Holy way meant to be.
Are you lost? Or, have you found your Holy way?
A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away. Ecclesiastes 3:6
