Ancestral Wisdom

Ancestral wisdom is generational. Not all generational lessons are curses. The wisdom brought about by Holy Spirit travels to each of us Spirit to Spirit. What grandmothers teach the younger ones today, they will remember when they are older. It is by the same memory knowledge given to Moses, only, this time it’s not etched in stone. It is etched in our hearts. The memories come back to us when it is needed well into adulthood.

The most important aspect of ancestral wisdom is if the young will listen to the old ways, old people, and learn to weave the wisdom given into their own lives. If not for the wise women and men carrying forward God’s truths, standing in the gap with prayers, and keeping watch for signs, who tells the children?

…we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. Psalm 78:4

Allow God to speak truths through you, young or old, to your people whether they listen or not. It is the way of God. Plant the seeds. Speak the truth. God does the rest. Give the gift of Jesus.
